We are ten minutes' drive from George and about twenty minutes away from the George airport.

Wilderness is known for whale and dolphin sightings and a favourite destination for paragliding enthusiasts. You can go hiking in the Wilderness National Park or go canoeing on the Touw River. The area is known for its variety of bird species – bird watching is a popular pastime.

Enjoy the Friday Night Market at Milkwood Village or the Saturday Farmer's Market in Sedgefield; all just a couple of minutes drive away.

The area has 12 major, nationally and internationally acclaimed golf courses: Fancourt, Simola, Pezula and Pinnacle Point to name but a few, all within half an hours drive of Shining Waters Guest House. There are a number of lakes in the area where you might want to part–take in various forms of watersport.
